Vision Works was a proud sponsor of the 33rd Dis-Chem Ride for Sight challenge, which created awareness and generated funds for the research and treatment of retinal blinding conditions like retinitis pigmentosa, macular degeneration, and other retinal disorders.

Well done to the 2 486 participants who handled all the obstacles and COVID-19 restrictions with sheer professionalism.

The overall winner in the 116 km Super Classic race was Joshua Van Wyk, who demonstrated real grit and received the coveted Ernest Hunt Trophy.

One of South Africa’s best female cyclists, Carla Oberholzer, was at the top of her game and won the ladies’ title.

The four riders who came first in the major categories each received complementary tailor-made prescription riding glasses from Vision Works.

The outcome of the event was an absolute success and the turnout showed strong support for initiatives that purposefully make a difference and ignite positive change.
