Who needs a mission
when you have a vision!
Our vision is to be your number one choice for all your eyecare and eyewear needs
How did we start?
A vision that began in 2011
Are you one of “those” people who are always looking for the best solution, constantly striving for excellence, propelled by passion?
Well, we are “those” people too, always wanting to grow and make things better where we can.
So, we devised a customer-focused and service-orientated one-stop eye health approach.
Vision Works was built on its passion for providing an inclusive Optometric offering that covers all aspects of eye health, and for putting its customers first.
What are our core values?
Incredible service in the blink of an eye!
You’ve probably heard this a lot before – “the customer is always right”- but for us, it’s all about the customer always, right now!
This is a value we uphold when it comes to service and customer satisfaction. Our “right now” begs the question – why should you wait for excellent service, a great pair of frames or for an Optometrist’s appointment? The answer is, “not on our watch! We’ve got your back!”
Is it all about me?
More of what you want
Henry Ford once said of his Model T cars, “A customer can have a car painted any colour he wants, so long as it’s black.”
Today, people want choices, and Vision Works offers choices galore – from a terrific selection of frames, sunglasses and accessories to a wide variety of contact lenses and, of course, professional eyecare, innovation and advice.
We see you!
Love your eyes
We love what we do so you can too!
We use our well-known hashtag #LOVEYOUREYES because we love what we do and we want to help you to love your eyes by doing all the right things. So why not give your eyes the respect they deserve by visiting Vision Works for a comprehensive eye health experience!
At Vision Works, we not only care about your eyes – we’re also committed to improving the lives of people in the communities we serve.
Woodmead Car Guard Sunnies
Being outside all day in the sun can put a strain on your eyes – so, Vision Works provided free sunnies for all the car guards at Woodmead Shopping Centre so they can watch out for criminals without having to fight off the glare!

Frame & Lens donations
To the pandemic needy, those affected by riots and vandalism & those receiving government grants.
Making A Difference
The St David's PTA embarked on a special initiative, driven by Grade 7 parents and optometrist, Tania Noach and PTA committee member Kim Abraham. The Initiative ensured that all of the support and estate staff has a comprehensive eye screening and then, where necessary, received new glasses. This included sunglasses for our security and estate staff who work outdoors in the glare of the sun all day.
Swing For Sight
This is a golf event where the event proceeds go directly to support and education services that Retina SA offers.
Eye Care Awareness
Vision Works joined forces with Adcock Ingram and boxes were set up at various locations, allowing individuals to donate their previously loved frames to those less fortunate.
Bright Sight Bins
Vision Works joined forces with Lions BrightSight. Participating stores allow for donations of glasses in-store. Lions BrightSight then provides these corrective spectacles to the underprivileged across South Africa.
