Bifocal lenses combine two prescriptions in one lens, distance vision in the upper section and near vision in the lower, separated by a visible line. They’re commonly prescribed for presbyopia, the age-related change to near vision that usually starts around 40. Bifocals are practical and cost-effective if you’re tired of switching between two pairs of glasses.
Also called progressive lenses, multifocals give you a smooth shift between distance and near vision, with an intermediate zone in between and no visible line. They suit professionals who switch between screens and longer-range tasks throughout the day. Most wearers take one to two weeks to adjust, and the line-free design looks cleaner than traditional bifocals.
The most common lens type, with one prescription strength across the whole lens. Single vision lenses correct one focal range, near or distance, which makes them a good fit for anyone with a single focal need. They’re lighter and thinner than multifocal options and take no time to adapt to.
Our frames come in acetate, metal, titanium and TR-90, with styles ranging from classic to modern and lightweight to bold. Scroll down for a quick guide to choosing the right frame material.
Our Smart™ lenses add anti-glare and blue-light filtering to your prescription, with UV protection built in. They’re a strong choice for anyone spending long hours in front of screens, or parents looking into MiyoSmart lenses for myopia management in children.

Choosing Your Frame Material

The frame is what you’ll feel on your face every day, so the material deserves as much thought as the look. If you have sensitive skin or a metal allergy, look at acetate or titanium.

Acetate — Plant-based plastic, lightweight, hypoallergenic, available in bold colours and patterns. Good for expressive style.>/p?

Metal — Sleek and classic, thinner profile than acetate. Stainless steel is a solid all-rounder.

Titanium — Premium choice. Strong, ultra-lightweight, corrosion-resistant, hypoallergenic. Best for all-day wear or sensitive skin.

TR-90 and Plastic — Flexible and impact-resistant. Smart pick for kids and active wearers.

FAQs

What types of prescription glasses do you offer?
We stock single vision, bifocal and multifocal (progressive) lenses, paired with frames in acetate, metal, titanium and TR-90. You can also add lens coatings such as anti-glare, blue-light filtering, polarisation and tints. If you’re not sure what you need, our optometrists will help you choose during your eye test.
Bifocals have two clearly defined zones in one lens, distance on top and near at the bottom, separated by a visible line. Multifocals (or progressives) give you a gradual shift between distance, intermediate and near vision with no line, which looks cleaner and feels more natural once you’ve adjusted.
Yes. You can choose your frame style and material, your lens type and any additional coatings. If you want prescription lenses fitted into a designer frame, like Ray-Ban or Oakley, we can do that too.
